Lafayette Roadwork Slated For A Few Areas

Lafayette's Interim Public Works Director, Terri Cordick, says three roadwork projects will mean lanes closures in the Hub City.

Starting today and running through Sunday, July 2, Congress Street between Marie Antoinette and Foreman Drive will have intermittent lane closures. A crew will be doing concrete repairs to the road.

There will be bike lane and shoulder closures starting today on Town Center Parkway between Johnston Street and Rue De Belier for the next two weeks. Concrete repairs will be needed in the area and the work will continue through Sunday, July 2.

Tomorrow, drainage repairs will necessitate that Woodvale Avenue between Leon Drive and West Bayou Parkway be closed through this Saturday, June 24.

The work is expected to happen each day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each of the three projects.
