UPDATE: Law Enforcement Surrounding Lake Charles Memorial Hospital

UPDATE:

KPLC is reporting that Lake Charles police have taken a man with a gun into custody.

They are letting people back into the hospital now except for the sixth floor.

That floor will remain evacuated until their search is complete.

KPLC television is working on a story today from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital where law enforcement have told them there is a possible active shooter situation.

There are officers from the Lake Charles Police Department, the Calcasieu Sheriff's Office and K-9 units all surrounding the hospital while they are investigating.

KPLC is reporting that witnesses within the hospital  have told them that the hospital facility is on lockdown, but no one is certain about what the circumstances that led to all of the police presence.

They have evacuated the hospital.
