Legendary Music Venue to Open in New Orleans

Anybody of a certain age group knows how influential and wildly popular the Fillmore East in New York City, and Fillmore West, in San Francisco were. Bill Graham hosted the legends of rock music on both coasts for years, and pretty soon we'll have a new Fillmore in New Orleans.

Live Nation Entertainment Group will open a Fillmore Music Venue in New Orleans in Harrah's Casino in 2019, and will offer another place for live bands to perform in the Big Easy. The venue will be on the second floor of the casino located on Canal Street, and will hold up to 2,000 music lovers, with a VIP area that can accommodate 1,000 patrons. Live Nation chief operating officer for theaters and clubs Ben Weeden is also saying that it will be standing room only for most shows, which is critical to the vibe.

The original Fillmore in San Francisco is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year, and the New Orleans venue will be based on this legendary Sixties club. We can't wait!
