Here's a story of a dog that I just don't understand. So, my girlfriend was driving from New Orleans along I-10 heading West towards Lafayette on Friday, February the 15th and at about 7 pm she came across a stranded down on the Basin Bridge.

Her love for dogs and really all animals kicked in as cars slowed down and swerved to avoid the frantic and scared creature. She not only slowed down but pulled off onto whatever kind of small amount of shoulder there is on the bridge, stopped and exited her vehicle in hopes of rescuing the pup from its current predicament. He ended up jumping right into her car and was bleeding with a cut under his eye, his ears, and his face was swollen.

We got him to the vet, they checked him out, he didn't have a microchip, his teeth and nails were good like he had been taken care of. He's not neutered and seems to be about a year or so old. He's a Black Lab.

We got him a bath, cleaned him up and he's super sweet. He got along really well with my girlfriends two dogs (Corgi and a Corgi-Terrier mix). He's potty trained, very low maintenance, I've only heard him bark a handful of times, and he just seems to want some loving.

I, unfortunately, cannot keep him due to my work schedule and my financial situation, it's just not the right time for me in my life to be a dog owner. However, I'd love to find this guy a terrific and loving home.

So, if you're looking for a dog to adopt please send me an email to Greg.Espn1420.com. I'd love to meet you and see if he would be a good fit for you. Thank you so much for your help and your continued support of our TownSquareMedia family.
