SHREVEPORT, LA - On June 9th, 2023, at 11:10 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of a burglary from a local area hotel located in the 2400 block of Lakeshore Drive. Responding officers were contacted by the victim who stated that a man entered his hotel room and stabbed his dog. Officers found that the suspect was no longer on the scene.

As the officers circulated the area for the suspect, the victim called the police and stated that the suspect was back at the scene of the crime. Officers responded and took Kenneth Joshua (11-27-72) into custody. Joshua was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, and multiple outstanding warrants.

The status of the dog that was stabbed is unknown at this time.

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
