Murder Suspect Being Sought In New Iberia Case

Officials with the New Iberia Police Department are looking for a 21-year-old man wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.

The shooting happened in the afternoon hours of August 9, and police are now looking for 21-year-old Tyron Deshean Chevalier for the shooting. Chevalier is from New Iberia.

The 23-year-old victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital after the shooting that happened in the 900 block of Mississippi Street.
