Friday night a St. Mary Parish Deputy responded to a call of two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 90 East near Franklin. The deputy found and tried to pull the two suspects over. The motorcyclists sped away with the deputy following. The deputy radioed for help and Patterson Police saw one of the cyclists lay down his motorcycle and try to run away. Dylan M Guillot of New Iberia was caught and charged with aggravated flight from an officer, driving under suspension, modification of exhaust, no mirrors, no motor vehicle inspection, no proof of motorcycle endorsement and switched license plate. He as released on $4,750 bond.

The deputy who first responded to the call followed the second motorcycle until he found it hidden behind a business. The driver was not located. The driver had been seen wearing a black helmet while riding the Suzuki GSX-R1000.
