The New Orleans Saints made a couple of moves at the receiver position on Wednesday.

The team signed rookie De'Quan Hampton while waiving second-year player Jordan Williams-Lambert with an injury designation.

Hampton, who went unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft, caught 22 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons at USC.

The 23-year old Hampton stands 6-foot-4, and weighs 225 pounds.

The 23-year old Lambert-Williams, who played his college football at Ball St., spent all of the last season on the Saints' practice squad.

Also on Wednesday, the Saints welcomed back tight end John Phillips, who passed his physical, and has been cleared to begin practicing after recovering from appendicitis.

The 30-year old Philips, an 8-year veteran, appeared in 8 games, including 4 starts for the Saints last season, making 5 receptions for 32 yards.
