Should Children Be Paddled? [VIDEO]

Shana Marie Perez of Georgia filmed this video of her son's reaction as two administrators at his school tried to administer corporal punishment by paddling. Perez shared the video on her Facebook page, which has received millions of views after getting national media exposure.

This article and others has used Perez's story to discuss whether or not corporal punishment should still be used in schools today. Most of us are old enough to remember a time when this wouldn't have even been an issue because paddling was part of being a kid. Paddling is still allowed by law in a number of states, including Louisiana, and you can even buy a paddle on Amazon.
