Suspect Arrested In Brown Park Shooting Death

Nearly 3 months after a 22-year-old Lafayette man was found dead in a vehicle at Brown Park, the teenager accused of murdering him has been arrested.

On September 18, Jaleel Bonham was shot to death. Lafayette Police say, as the investigation developed, 17-year-old Demarko Jaquine Alfred became the suspect in an act that detectives believe was not random.

Alfred has been booked on the charge of Second Degree Murder.
