If you want something for yourself, work for it. Use your own money and buy it. Work to make your own money. It is all part of growing up and becoming an adult. Some folks apparently do not like this concept. Which leads to yet another theft and your help is needed.

I don't think I will ever understand why people feel the need to take from others. My family has felt the stress of this crime very recently and now it has happened again.

On Monday morning around six, two black males in a white Ford F250 parked on the side of my cousins' home in Rayne and proceeded to commit their crime. What you will see in the video is one man running to what looks like the back of the home.

The other man tries to get into the truck in the driveway. When he fails to open the door, he moves to the garage where there was an SUV. Unfortunately, the door was unlocked and he was able to get into the vehicle and take a purse.

I know that some will say, 'Oh, they should have locked their vehicle.' Yes, they probably should have. However, the big issue is the theft itself. There is no justification for this.

My family in Rayne is hoping that someone will be able to identify these men and bring them to justice.

If you have any information, contact the Rayne Police Department at (337) 334-4215.
