Tia Mowry Says Being Asked If She Is Pregnant Is A Form Of Body Shaming
Actress Tia Mowry wants the world to know that she isn't pregnant; she's "just happy."
Mowry joined HuffPost Live and squashed rumors that she and her husband were expecting a second child. She also sounded off, saying that people continuously asking whether or not she is pregnant is a form of body shaming.
As far as her extra pounds, Tia said it's simply a result of her cooking show.
I am not pregnant, I am just happy. I've gained these extra 10 [or] 15 pounds because of my cooking show. … I'm just enjoying life and when I want to drop the pounds, I will, but right now I'm happy with who I am
She says the negativity towards body image in general is also a problem, based on the critical commentary on her Instagram page. Mowry said that she believes we live in a society that is "so obsessed with being perfect" and it simply "needs to stop."
why can't we just be us?
