Sadly, the college football regular season is over already. As soon it comes, it seems like it flies by and it's over. This past weekend was known as championship weekend as college football teams played for their conference championships.

Some of the games shook out exactly as we thought with Florida State, Michigan, and Texas all winning their conference championship games. Then we had an upset as Alabama beat #1 Georgia to win the SEC Championship. We knew that that win would shake up the college football playoff rankings and on Sunday we found out we were right.

Alabama's win over Georgia booted the undefeated Florida State team and the Georgia Bulldogs out of the top four as the Crimson Tide took over one of the top four spots. The top for were announced at 11:30 a.m. yesterday with Michigan getting the #1 spot, followed by Washington at #2, Texas at #3, and Alabama at #4.

The LSU Tigers finished the 2023 regular season 9-3 and 2nd in the SEC West. The Tigers landed in the rankings at #13 in the College Playoff Rankings, AP, and Coaches Polls. One shining light for the season is that quarterback Jayden Daniels seems to be the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.

Yesterday, LSU also found out where they would be going to play a bowl game. They are headed to Tampa, Florida to take on Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest bowl at Ramond James Stadium, the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
