It's looking like as nice day/evening on Monday in Mobile, Alabama, where the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will take on the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in the LendingTree Bowl, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

This will mark the second-ever bowl game that the Cajuns will play outside of the state of Louisiana.

Louisiana, who lost to Tulane last year, 41-24, in the Cure Bowl, will be appearing in their 7th bowl game in the last 9 years, having appeared in the New Orleans Bowl in 2011-2014, as well as 2016, prior to participating in the Cure Bowl last year.

With a victory, the Cajuns will secure their first bowl win since defeating Nevada, 16-3, in the 2014 New Orleans Bowl, and mark the program's first bowl win outside the state of Louisiana since defeating Arkansas A&M, 24-7, in the 1944 Oil Bowl in Houston.

Louisiana is familiar with the MAC and the state of Ohio, having faced the Ohio Bobcats earlier this season. They won that game, 45-25, in Athens, Ohio and improved to 7-6 all-time against MAC opposition in the process.

Weather-wise, there should be no issues for the game.

The weather experts are calling for mostly clear skies with no mention of rain, to go along with mild temperatures.

Expect an early morning low of 41 degrees in Mobile on Monday morning, before warming up to 67 degrees in the afternoon, and then dropping into the mid-'50s for most of tonight's game.

Wind shouldn't be much of an issue either, with winds blowing from the southwest at 5 mph.

So, clear skies tonight, with temperatures in the 50's. You can't ask for better than that for a January night bowl game.

Louisiana is currently 10-3 on the season, while Miami, champions of the Mid-American Conference, will enter at 8-5.

Miami leads the all-time series between the two schools, 2-0, including a 29-28 win over the Cajuns back in 1993, in the last meeting between the two.

You can hear all the play-by-play on ESPN 1420, espn1420.com, and the ESPN 1420 mobile app, beginning with the Tailgate Show at 4:30 pm.

In addition, the game can be heard on as Hot 107.9, 1079ishot.com, and the Hot 107.9 mobile app, beginning with the official pregame show at 5:30 pm.
