UL Softball Adds Keeli Milligan
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have added a softball transfer standout.
Justinsworldofsoftball was the first to report that former All-SEC outfielder Keeli Milligan will be transferring from Texas A&M to Louisiana.
A speedy, leadoff-type of hitter, Milligan will be a senior next season, and will be eligible to play immediately.
A native of Vidor, Texas, Milligan hit a .307 last season for the Aggies, to go along with a .400 on-base percentage, while stealing 29 bases in 32 attempts.
As a freshman in 2016, Milligan hit a .379, while setting a school record with 54 stolen bases. For her efforts, she was named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman Team, as well as being selected a top ten finalist for the Division I National Freshman of the Year award.
In 2017, as a sophomore, Milligan hit a .319, after being named to named to the National Player of the Year watch list before the season.
Milligan will be reunited with Louisiana head coach Gerry Glasco, who was an assistant at Texas A&M, during her first two seasons.
The Cajuns, who finished 41-16 last season, have now added Milligan, to go along with outfielder Kendall Talley (Lamar) and pitcher Kali Kitsinis (Chiminade), as well as JUCO All-American Ashlee Snyder and another junior college transfer, Tiana Patrick (Santa Ana College), as transfers who will be competing for the Cajuns next season.
