Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball team dropped three spots in the latest ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who won five of six games in the Mardi Gras Invitational over the weekend at Lamson Park, fell from #16 last week to #19 this week.

The Cajuns captured wins over Drake, Bowling Green, Dartmouth, Maryland, and Mississippi Valley St. in the tournament, while suffering their lone loss to Bradley, to move to 11-4 on the season.

UL returns to action on Friday, taking on Alcorn St. and North Dakota St. in the first day of play of the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational at Lamson Park.

The Florida Gators are the new top-ranked team in this week’s poll, followed by last week's #1, the Florida St. Seminoles, and then the Auburn Tigers, Oregon Ducks, and Texas A&M Aggies to round out the top five.

Arizona is number six this week, while Washington, UCLA, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Minnesota complete the top ten.

At 11-15 in this week’s poll, it’s Minnesota, LSU, James Madison, Michigan, and Tennessee, with Utah, Georgia, California, Louisiana, Utah, and Arizona St. at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, it’s Kentucky, Ole Miss, Baylor, Pittsburgh, and Missouri.
