The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns have made a big climb in the latest college softball ratings percentage index (RPI) poll, which was released on Monday.

Louisiana, who is currently 36-6 on the season, including a 17-1 Sun Belt Conference record, ranks number 19 this week, which is a huge ten-spot jump from last week.

The Cajuns, who defeated nationally-ranked Texas A&M, 11-9, in a non-conference tilt last Wednesday, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Georgia St. over the weekend, plays host to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in a three-game league series this weekend, in their final home games of the regular season.

Florida is the top team in the RPI rankings, followed by Arizona, Washington, Auburn, and Texas A&M in the top 5.

6-10 consists of UCLA, Oregon, Florida St., Baylor, and Tennessee.

Minnesota, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, and Utah are at 11-15, while James Madison, Kentucky, BYU, Louisiana, and Michgan round out the top 20.

Illinois, Arizona St., California, South Carolina, and Marshall are in the 21-25 spots, respectively.

Louisiana is the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference school, followed by Texas St. (#29), Georgia St. (#59), South Alabama (#61), UTA (#76), Georgia Southern (#84), Coastal Carolina (#96), ULM (#105), Troy (#106), and Appalachian St. (#226).
