WWE Hall of Famer ‘Luscious’ Johnny Valiant Dead After Being Hit By Truck
The wrestling world is mourning the death of Thomas Sullivan, aka "Luscious" Johnny Valiant, who died after a pickup truck hit him in Ross Township, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
Valiant was 71 years old.
Police say that Valiant ran across a busy road when he was struck by the truck. The driver of the truck remained at the scene, according to reports.
A 1996 WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Valiant won multiple tag-team titles as a member of the Valiant Brothers in the 1970s. With bleach-blond hair and a flamboyant style, the brothers helped usher in an outrageous brand of wrestling that took over the '80s.
Valiant also managed Hulk Hogan and some prominent '80s tag-teams before transitioning to a color commentator for WWE broadcasts.
