
2019 UL Softball Schedule Released
The 2019 softball schedule for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns was announced on Thursday evening.
Four in-season tournaments, in which Louisiana will take on the likes of California, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Oregon St. highlight the schedule, as well as non-conference games against in-state schools such as Nicholls, McNeese, Southeastern Louisiana, and Louisiana Tech.
The Cajuns open up their 2019 campaign February 7-11, as they host California, Fordham, Incarnate Word, and Texas A&M Corpus-Christi in the Ragin' Cajuns Classic.
The following weekend, February 15-17, UL will host the 33rd Annual Louisiana Classics, which will feature Austin Peay, Jackson St., and Stephen F. Austin.
Louisiana will be on the road the next two weekends, heading to Waco, Texas February 22-24, to take part in the four-team Baylor Tournament, before a trip to Norman, Oklahoma March 1-3, as part of a three-team field in the Oklahoma Tournament.
Sun Belt Conference play opens the following weekend, March 8-10, as the Cajuns travel to San Marcos, Texas to face the Texas St. Bobcats, before hosting Baylor on March 11, in the first of 8 mid-week contests.
Other than Baylor, the Cajuns will also play mid-week games against Nicholls, McNeese, Campbell, UNC Greensboro, and Louisiana Tech.
UL will host Troy, UTA, Georgia St., and Coastal Carolina in conference play in 2019, while traveling to Texas St., South Alabama, Georgia Southern, and Appalachia St.
