Wouldn't it be great to get up to a $1,000, and having bragging right because you help law enforcement solve a crime? That's sounds like a really great scenario to me.

I do not own a 4-wheeler, but I have to write, I have always wanted one.

So, if someone stole my 4-wheeler I would be really upset, and that's the polite way that I can write that.

Over in Acadia Parish, law enforcement, who all participate in the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers Program, know that there have been several recent incidents in which 4-wheelers have been stolen.

No that you care, but I'm going to tell you anyway, people who help to solve crimes are super heroes to me!

I think when people have information that can help solve a case, they really can help set someone's world right again.

So what we've go here is a situation were three four-wheelers were stolen, one each from the towns of Iota, Branch and Crowley. And if you know about four-wheelers, it costs a pretty penny to own one. They are so worth the money, but when someone steals one, you're out at least $7,000 bucks.

According to Racheal Trahan with the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers Program the following things were stolen from the parish:

A 2007 Honda ORV was stolen from Iota which is a camo color

A 2013 Can-Am was stolen from Branch which is a camo color

A 2017 Honda 500 Foreman Rubicon with a snorkel on the front which is red in color

Trahan says these are just a few of the reported cases.

She adds that one of the big things they are asking owners to do is make sure that their 4-wheelers are as secured as possible. She says that thieves are constantly traveling across the parish looking for things that are of high value that they can steal.

So, what do you do if you have any information about this siuation? Well, it's easy. You either anonymously phone in that information, or you can anonymously use the P3 app on your phone to give them the knowledge that they need.

If you decide to call, the number for Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers is 337-789-TIPS(8477).

You're information, if it leads to an arrest, can be worth up to $1,000 in cash.

You could use that money to put a down payment on your own 4-wheeler.
