If you are planning to head to LSU for the fall semester, better bring more money. A 5% fee hike of $282 just got approved last week, and  will generate about $14 million dollars. And according to campus leaders, the money will be used for pay raises and other expenses..

The fees will be implemented for full time students on the main campus, but some LSU Board of Supervisors members fear that more hikes in tuition will bring an undo burden to lower and middle income families who just want an education. The exact same fees were raised last year., and are not covered by the TOPS tuition aid program.
