
Are You In Acadiana’s Middle Class? A New Calculator Has The Answer
We commonly hear the term 'middle class', but what does it mean in Acadiana? A new Pew Research calculator hopes to help you answer that question. A form that's posted on the Pew FactTank lets you select your state, location, pre-tax household income, and size of household. The calculator takes that information and ranks it with data from as recent as 2016.
For example, this is the ranking for a Lafayette family making $50,000 per year before taxes.
