Brandin Cooks Traded To Rams
A former member of the New Orleans Saints is on the move, yet again.
Receiver Brandin Cooks, who played for the Saints for three seasons, from 2014-2016, was traded by the New England Patriots on Tuesday, along with a fourth-round draft pick in the upcoming 218 NFL Draft, to the Los Angeles Rams, in exchange for first and sixth-round draft choices.
The rams will become Cooks' third team in the last three years.
A native of Stockton, California, Cooks, who was the 20th-overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, will enter his third year with the team in 2016.
The 5-foot-10, 189-pound Cooks played in 10 games, including 7 as a starter as a rookie for New Orleans in 2014, compiling 53 receptions for 553 yards and 3 touchdowns.
In 2015, Cooks appeared in all 16 games, including 13 starts, while totaling 84 catches for 1,138 yards and 9 touchdowns.
In 2016, his last year with the Saints, Cooks totaled 78 receptions for 1,173 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Saints traded Cooks, along with a 4th-round draft choice, to the New England Patriots prior to the 2017 season, in exchange for a first-round pick and a third-round selection.
Last season, his only one in New England, Cooks compiled 65 catches for 1,082 yards and 7 touchdowns.
In three seasons with the Saints, Cooks appeared in 42 games, including 32 as a starter, accumulating 215 receptions for 2,841 yards and 20 touchdowns.
