BREAKING: Tornado Warnings Extended;Twister Touches Down Near Erath

Officials in Vermilion Parish are confirming a tornado touched down just north of Erath during the 2 o'clock hour.

Out news partners at KATC reported some drainage components outside of the city have been damaged by the twister.

Acadiana residents are warned to take shelter as the National Weather Service  has issued  tornado warnings in Acadiana.

The warnings have been extended numerous times in the last hour.

As of 2:45 p.m., Vermilion, Lafayette and Iberia Parishes are under a tornado warning until 3 p.m.
