Chase Daniel Expected To Sign With Bears
The New Orleans Saints are in need of a back-up quarterback.
Daniel was an undrafted rookie free agent by the Washington Redskins in 2009, but didn't make the roster, before signing with the Saints shortly thereafter, earning a spot on the Super Bowl roster as the 3rd string quarterback.
Daniel signed with Kansas City in 2013, serving as Alex Smith's backup for 3 years.
In March of 2016, Daniel signed a 3 year, $21 million deal with Philadelphia. $10 million of the contract was guaranteed.
The 31-year old Daniel returned to the Saints last season, signing a one-year free agent deal.
Over his 9-year NFL career, Daniel has thrown for 480 yards and one touchdown.
