“Click It or Ticket” Is Underway

Law enforcement across the state are going to be looking a little bit closer at what you are doing behind the wheel between now and June 4.

It's called the "Click It or Ticket" campaign, and state officials are trying to get anyone in a car to remember to buckle their seat belt.

The Lafayette Police Department is one of the many law enforcement organization that will work to get the word out about wearing your seat belt.

Lafayette Police Spokesman Corporal Karl Ratcliff says they, in partnership with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, will be have saturation patrols throughout the city of Lafayette.

Officers will be looking for anyone that is not buckled up.
