Temperatures are dropping across south Louisiana and things could get a little messy by the end of the work week.

I've seen a few reports that south Louisiana could see some wintry precipitation in the forecast by the end of the work week. Yes, there is a SLIGHT chance of snow or sleet in Lafayette by Friday.

Now, these are just weather models making these predictions and as Rob Perillo stated on Facebook, we shouldn't get our hopes up.

However, if there is enough moisture in the atmosphere by Friday we could see a few flurries across parts of south Louisiana. Now, if you're travelling north of here, towards Monroe, the chances of seeing some white stuff increases.

Let's sit back wait and see, but I am certain of one thing, it feels a lot more like Christmas now that the cold front has pushed through the area.

So, enjoy the cooler temperatures as you watch Christmas movies with a cup of hot chocolate in your hand. The cooler temperatures may be here today and gone in a few.

It finally does feel like Christmas in south Louisiana---For now.
