Ford has announced they are recalling nearly 1.4 million midsize cars because the steering wheel can detach from the steering column causing drivers to possibly lose control.

The models being recalled are certain Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from 2014 through 2018 model years.

Ford says they have reports of two crashes and one injury caused by the problem.
