Scott Plaisance, a former member of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team, has enrolled at UNO, and plans on continuing his basketball career with the Privateers.

Fox 8 Sports out of New Orleans was the first to report the move.

This season, Plaisance appeared in eleven games for Louisiana, including one start. He scored a career high ten points in that one start against Nicholls State and had a season high 15 minutes in a match-up against Loyola (NO).

The 6-foot-9, 217-pound Plaisance played in 29 career games during his two seasons with the Cajuns, averaging 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds.

Plaisance, who was named the Class 1A Player of the Year during his junior season at Country Day, redshirted his first season, before being used mostly as a reserve over the past year-and-a-half.

Plaisance, who will be eligible to play for UNO after midterm exams next December, will have a year-and-a-half of eligibility remaining.
