Friend of Mother Teresa, Beloved Priest Fr. Brennan Has Died

The Diocese of Lafayette has announced that Father Joseph died last night.

Brennan was a beloved priest to many in our area.

He was known for his longtime friendship with St. Teresa of Calcutta according to KATC.

He was also known to have ministered to a young woman who is known as the "Cajun Saint", the young Charlene Richard who passed away many years ago.

Many in Acadiana are still working to make the girl a saint.

KPEL interviewed Father Brennan on several occassions years ago when there were discussions in the community about satanic rituals, and whether or not it was being practiced in this area.

Brennan served the St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette among others.
