In the past several weeks, multiple law enforcement agencies in our area have been teaming up to go after people accused of crimes. A Broussard man, already a registered sex offender, was arrested on more charges according to KLFY.

According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report for Thursday, November 9, 39-year-old Stewart Michael Brown was arrested by the FBI yesterday morning for four counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles (under the age of 13), and four counts of Sexual Abuse of An Animal.

Brown was convicted in 2016 of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles according to the sex offender registry.

According to the Louisiana Legislature's website Indecent Behavior with Juveniles carries with it a variety of descriptions of activities that can lead to arrest including, but not limited to the following:

(1) Any lewd or lascivious act upon the person or in the presence of any child under the age of seventeen, where there is an age difference of greater than two years between the two persons. Lack of knowledge of the child's age shall not be a defense; or

(2) The transmission, delivery, or utterance of any textual, visual, written, or oral communication depicting lewd or lascivious conduct, text, words, or images to any person reasonably believed to be under the age of seventeen and reasonably believed to be at least two years younger than the offender.

According to the website animallaw.info Louisiana law states that the following and other actions are not allowed with animals:

(1) Engaging in sexual contact with an animal.

(7) Filming, distributing, or possessing pornographic images of a person and an animal engaged in any (prohibited acts).

Brown was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
