2024 Rock the Country in Gonzales, Louisiana This Weekend — What to Know Before You Go
The inaugural Rock the Country music festival is taking place this Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 in Gonzales, Louisiana at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center (909 S St Landry Ave).
The two-day live music event will be headlined by Kid Rock and Jason Aldean.
The lineup also includes Hank Williams, Jr. Koe Wetzel, Travis Tritt, and Big & Rich, featuring Gretchen Wilson.

TICKETS
Yes, tickets are still on sale. There are a variety of options including a two-day general admission, elevated seating, and VIP.
You can also purchase tickets for RV camping spots, car camping and a weekend parking pass.
RFID WRISTBANDS
Rock the Country will use RFID wristbands. (RFID stands for Radio-Frequency IDentification.) If you've bought your tickets already, you should have received your wristbands with instructions.
Regardless, you will need to register your wristband with your info and credit card for quick tap-to-pay options at vendors. Doing this advance will ensure a quicker entry into the event as well.

ITEMS ALLOWED AND NOT ALLOWED
According to the Rock the Country website, here is a list of items allowed at the festival:
- Sunscreen
- Hats
- Phones and chargers
- Empty plastic water containers for use at the water stations
- Towels
- Non-professional cameras
- Small to medium bags*
- Medicine (in approved containers)
- Blankets and lawn chairs for use in chair zones
*Bags do not have to be clear to be allowed on the grounds but will be searched at entry.
Festival goers cannot bring the following items:
- Guns, knives or weapons of any kind
- Outside food or beverage
- Tents or umbrellas
- Animals
- Illegal substances
- Laser pointers
- Chains/chain wallets
- Fireworks
- Flags
- Professional cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices
WEATHER
Festival organizers have said that the festival will happen "rain or shine." In the event of severe weather, organizers will collaborate with local emergency management agencies to make a plan for festivalgoer's safety.
The good news is that right now the forecast is looking pretty good for both Friday and Saturday.
The Weather Channel has a high of 79 on Friday during the day with sunny skies and a low of 51. Then for Saturday, the forecast is for partly cloudy skies with a high of 78 and a minuscule chance of rain.
