Singer Beyoncé's childhood home in Houston caught fire early on Christmas morning. Thankfully, the family living there escaped safely.

Officials with the Houston Fire Department said they responded to reports of the house fire at 2:07 am. They were able to arrive within three to five minutes of the call, the Houston Chronicle reported.

When firefighters arrived, the two-story home was in flames, leading to an aggressive fire attack.

Firefighters were able to get most of the fire out but then had to cut into the roof to clear the attic.

Houston Fire Department District Chief Justin Barnes said they had the fire contained in about 10 minutes.

The couple living in living home were able to evacuate with their two small children before firefighters arrived.

Firefighters said there were no injuries reported as a result of the blaze.

Beyoncé Knowles' family bought the home, located in the 2400 block of Rosedale, back in 1982. Beyoncé lived there until she was 5 years old.

The home in the historic Riverside Terrace neighborhood was built way back in 1946.

Beyoncé was seen taking photos of the property when she was in town for the Renaissance World Tour back in September.
