About Cypremort Point State Park

This public recreation area has been a South Louisiana favorite for many years. It is located on Vermilion Bay near the end of La. Hwy 319.

The 185-acre park, set against a backdrop of coastal marsh, contains a half-mile stretch of man-made beach which contains picnic sites, a fishing pavilion, and a sailboat launch.

By the way, in case you didn't know, Cypremort means "dead cypress" in French.
