Shaking Out the Good Stuff — Acadiana Raises $211,228 for the Kids at St Jude During Radiothon

The story may be a couple of days late, but the dollars sure aren't short.

On Thursday and Friday of last week, the radio stations here at Townsquare Media in Lafayette put on the St. Jude Radiothon.

And you, Acadiana, came through to the tune of $211,228 raised for the babies at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

By the way, that's a big increase from last year when you helped us raise just over $182,000.

So a whole lot of money is heading to St. Jude for things like chemo and radiation treatments, housing and food, research, and fun stuff like no-mo chemo parties.

That slice of heaven on earth known as St. Jude Hospital continues to do some amazing things. Cure rates continue to improve and countless families are given more time with their children because of people like you.

So, from everyone here at Townsquare Media who was privileged to be a part of this amazing event, we simply say "thank you".
