Texas Lottery Confirms $350,000 Powerball Wins Monday Night

Last night's life-changing jackpot as announced at the time the drawing took place was $164.1 million. The numbers that were drawn were:

Were There Powerball Winners in Texas?

Based on what our sources at the Texas Lottery have revealed Monday's Powerball in Texas created winners of $50,000 or more on five Texas-sold tickets. The Texas Lottery does not publish point-of-purchase or game details unless the prize is one million dollars or more.

We can tell you that all five of the winning tickets from Monday night matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. Three of those tickets will earn a prize of $50,000. The other two ticket purchasers opted for the Power Play option. Since the multiplier for Monday's game was "times two" their prize is $100,000.

The Powerball jackpot will now grow to an estimated $178 million for Wednesday's drawing. That is the annuitized jackpot, by the way. The lump sum payout projection for Wednesday's Powerball is $81.3 million.

Tonight's Mega Millions drawing will be for a top prize of just over a quarter of a billion dollars at $257 million. That's the annuitized estimated jackpot, the estimate on the lump sum payout for Mega Millions is $115.6 million. Again, that game draws tonight just before 10 p.m.
