Kartchner’s Grocery & Specialty Meats Building New Location in Scott

The boudin trail in Scott will be growing soon as a St. Landry Parish staple is building a second location.

Kartchner's Grocery & Specialty Meats, based out of Krotz Springs, is expanding to Scott with a brand new location just under construction.

According to Developing Lafayette, the new store will be located at 312 Hwy 93, which is next door to La Rumba Mexican Grill.

Kartchner's currently offers your standard specialty meats fare, items like boudin, cracklins, fresh sausage, boneless stuffed chicken, stuffed pork chops. They also carry things like their signature cream cheese & jalapeño stuffed boudin balls.

No word yet on the timeline for construction or when the store will open, but we'll keep you posted.
