
Lafayette Man To Face OWI Charges In Multi-Car Crash
Police in Duson have charged a Lafayette man with OWI second offense, careless operation with an accident, and three counts of negligent vehicle injuring following a vehicle crash last night. The crash happened on Highway 95 in Duson.
According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Jason Murray of Lafayette was traveling south on Highway 95 and rear-ended another vehicle. That vehicle was pushed into a pickup truck. As a result of the collision, Murray's vehicle was pushed into the northbound lanes where it struck an 18-wheeler.
Three people were sent to the hospital but all are expected to be okay.
According to a report from KATC TV, Murray's blood alcohol level was 0.220% at the time of the crash. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
