LSU has one more football game to play to wrap up the 2017 season. That game will be against Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day. After the final horn sounds in that game almost every Tiger fans attention will become focused on baseball. Sorry basketball, that's the way it is, for now, win a few more games and we'll talk.

Collegiate Baseball has ranked the Tigers as the number 10 team in the nation based on their preseason prognostications. The publication puts the Florida Gators, the defending NCAA Champions, in the top spot. Oregon State, Arkansas, Florida State, and Texas Tech round out the top five.

Southeastern Conference baseball was very well represented in this first poll as Florida, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and South Carolina join the Tigers in the Top 25.

The Ragin'Cajuns of U.L. also make the Top 25. Coach Tony Robichaux's squad from Lafayette is slotted at number 18.

The Tigers will open their baseball season against their final football opponent for the year when they host Notre Dame on February 16th.
