Man's Death Being Investigated As A Homicide

UPDATE: The Lafayette Police Department has announced the victim in yesterday's homicide has been identified as Javonta Clay.

He was shot to death. Anyone with information about the death of Javonta Clay is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

Lafayette Police have opened a homicide investigation after a 23-year-old man was found dead at a Lafayette apartment complex in the 1500 block of Louisiana Avenue.

Officers responded to the Holy Family Apartments at around 6 o'clock yesterday evening after the man's body was found in an apartment.

Police are releasing no other details at this time.
