Medical Emergency Suspected In Death Of Man In Rayne
On Saturday, Rayne Police officers responded to a call of a person pinned between vehicles at Piggly Wiggly on 702 South Adams in Rayne. Despite CPR being administered, the injured male victim was eventually pronounced dead by the Acadia Parish Coroners Office.
"Although the investigation is not complete, early indications is that the driver suffered a medical emergency while operating his vehicle and then attempted to exit causing his death," says Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly.
We are still awaiting the name of the victim as detectives continue their investigation.
