Miss Louisiana 2nd Runner Up In Miss America Pageant
Holli Conway did a marvelous job of representing what is good about Louisiana on last night's national telecast of the Miss America Pageant from Atlantic City New Jersey. Conway, who won a preliminary talent competition earlier in the week at the pageant was selected as the second runner-up in the pageants final night.
Conway had wowed the judges earlier in the week with her rendition of I Believe made popular by Fantasia Barrino. While the performance did earn Holloway the preliminary win her total scores were bested by two other young women after all was said and done.
Your new Miss America is Nia Franklin. The first runner-up was Miss Connecticut Bridget Oei. Then came Holli Conway of Louisiana. This marked the first time in the pageant's 98 year history that there was no swimsuit competition included in the final scores for the contestants.
