New BMX Park Set to Open in Milton

Have you passed by Picard Park in Milton and wondered what was being built? Well, we have the answer for you.

A new BMX park will be opening there in the next few weeks. According to the Cajun BMX Facebook page, the new facility could be open as soon as November of this year.

The park will feature a smooth track with jumps and banked berms.

"You wear full gear. It allows you to build a good environment, and it's healthy. It's something that you actually have to pedal, so there's no sitting around watching it. You actually have to pedal and use your body, so it's a great athletic event, but it's fun," said volunteer Scott Sonnier in an interview with KATC TV-3.
