New Iberia Man Transferred To St. Mary Parish On Simple Burglary Charge

A 22-year-old New Iberia man arrested Tuesday on a simple burglary charge has been transferred to the St. Mary Parish Jail.

According to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, Latin Boutte's arrest stemmed from a December investigation in which Boutte and another person allegedly broke into a truck near the Charenton Levee by Lake Fausse Point.

Among the items stolen from the truck was a 9 millimeter pistol and two Apple iPods.

Bond has not been set.
