Are the New Orleans Saints close to adding a 6-time Pro Bowl receiver to their roster?

The Saints brought in the 34-year old Marshall for a visit last week, before eventually inking Dez Bryant instead.

Bryant suffered a torn achilles tendon during practice on Friday, and will be out for the remainder of the season.

Despite not signing the 6-foot-5, 232-Pound Marshall last week, the Saints were reportedly still impressed with him.

A 4th-round selection of the Denver Broncos in the 2004 NFL Draft, Marshall played in 6 games with the Seattle Seahawks this season, catching 11 passes for 136 yards and one touchdowns, before being released in October

In 13 NFL seasons, Marshall, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has accumulated 970 receptions for 12,351 yards and 83 touchdowns.
