The New Orleans Saints made adjustments to their 53-man roster and their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Saints waived linebacker Gabe Martin, while adding linebacker Shayne Skov and defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton to the practice squad.

In addition, the Saints also terminated the practice squad contract for cornerback Bradley Sylve.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Saints traded running back Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals, leaving them now two open slots on the 53-man roster.

The 25-year old Martin, who played in 8 games for the Arizona Cardinals last season, was signed by the Saints last week, but with the Saints being idle last week, he obviously never played a down for New Orleans.

The 27-year old Skov, who entered the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford, appeared in 24 career games for the San Francisco 49ers from 2015-2016, mostly on special teams.

A native of San Francisco, California, the 6-foot-3, 247-pound Skov has accumulated 12 career tackles.

The 24-year old Hamilton entered the league in 2016 out of Mississippi with the New England Patriots.

A native of Raleigh, Mississippi, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound Hamilton appeared in two games for New England last season, compiling three tackles.
