Simone Champagne Says She’s Ready To Tackle Lafayette’s Challenges

One of the five candidates vying to become Lafayette's next Mayor/President, Simone Champagne, joined Bernadette Lee and Brandon Comeaux from Acadiana's Morning News to talk about how she is ready to tackle any challenges that may come her way if she is elected to the post.

Champagne says that she believes she has the right balance of experience to handle the job as Lafayette's Mayor/President.

Champagne sites her local experience as the Youngsville Chief Administrative Officer and her time serving in the Louisiana Legislature as proof that she is ready to tackle Lafayette's challenges.

If elected, she says she knows some of the major issues that will need to be addressed immediately include drainage and infrastructure.
