St. Mary Parish Man Being Sought By Deputies

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they say fled a traffic stop yesterday.

The whole encounter with this suspect began as they started investigating a case of stolen car.

Deputies were patrolling in the Charenton area, and when they made a routine traffic stop, they say Terrell Charles took off running.

Deputies say this 20-year-old man has an address listed as 1258 Martin Luther King Jr. Road in Charenton.

They are planning to charge him with resisting an officer, seat belt violation and possession of stolen things according to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.
