Less than a week after 400lbs of crawfish was stolen from a Baton Rouge restaurant, it happened again.

This time, the crawfish was stolen from someone who was attempting to share a Louisiana tradition with out-of-state friends. WYFF is reporting that a Baton Rouge native by the name of Brittany Case had her boiling plans foiled when thieves made off with $9,000 worth of crawfish and supplies.

Case is a Baton Rouge native and a USC Upstate softball player. For the past five years, she has thrown a crawfish boil in South Carolina for the winner of the Atlantic Sun Conference championship. Sadly, this year there will be no boil due to the mudbugs being stolen.

According to WYFF, an unknown passerby stole the entire trailer from a nearby hotel. It was all caught on surveillance video and a truck can be seen backing up to the trailer, then driving off with all the goods.

Easter may have been ruined, but Case says the thief may have bitten off more than they can boil.

They will get caught because there are a lot of people who are upset about it. It’s not even to catch them to get what was ours back because, at this point, that’s already gone. It’s to prevent it from happening to someone else. I don’t think this person knew when they were taking that what that meant to us.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
