Former LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri is expected to return to the dugout next season as reports are that he will be named the new head coach at South Carolina.
It was a good year for college baseball in Louisiana this season, illustrated by the amazing six teams from the Bayou State that have made it to 2024 NCAA Regionals.
This was not your average Sunday block party, though. It was a massive Louisiana-style crawfish boil held in New York City, with the Empire State Building as the backdrop. The epic crawfish boil was hosted by the local NYC chapter of the LSU Alumni Association in front of the LSU Alum-owned Legends Bar and Grill.
The former LSU coach is now leading the McNeese State University Cowboys, who are headed to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, having drawn the No. 12-seed slot.
